This policy describes how the Soma Flight mobile application and related pre-flight service handle information. Soma Flight provides informational pre-flight guidance only; it does not replace local aviation rules, NOTAMs, or your own judgement.
This notice covers the Soma Flight app (Android) when you use features that contact our servers or third-party map and weather providers.
When you run a check, the app sends an HTTPS request to our backend (hosted on Cloudflare Pages) with:
We use this information to fetch weather and space-weather inputs, compute a plain-language result, and return it to your device. We do not use it for advertising, sale, or automated profiling for marketing.
Cloudflare processes requests as our infrastructure provider and may log technical metadata (such as IP address, timestamps, and URL paths) according to Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
Our servers query public weather and geomagnetic data providers (for example forecast and planetary K-index sources) to build the response. Those queries are initiated from our infrastructure, not directly from identifiers you type into the app beyond the coordinates and preset above.
We do not operate a logged-in user account inside Soma Flight v1. Server-side logs, if retained by our host or upstream APIs, are used for security and operations and are not kept for longer than necessary for those purposes.
App traffic to our API uses HTTPS. Do not use the app on networks you do not trust if your threat model requires stronger assurances.
Soma Flight is not directed at children. If you believe we have inadvertently processed a child’s data, contact us using the developer contact on the app store listing.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of personal data, or to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Contact us through the support or privacy channel listed on the store listing; we will respond within a reasonable time.
We may update this policy when the app or hosting changes. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do.
Use the developer contact information on the Google Play or Apple App Store page for Soma Flight, the support form, or the support email shown on the listing if provided.
If you submit the optional support form on this site, we store the fields you provide (such as name, email, subject, message, platform, and app version) together with technical metadata (for example browser user agent and coarse country from our host) in a database on Cloudflare (D1) so we can respond. Do not include passwords, API keys, or other secrets in the message.
